İpek Sümer is a former professional volleyball player and an FIVB Certified Coach (Level II). A setter (183 cm) with a professional career spanning more than 15 years, she played for leading Turkish clubs including Halkbank, Nilüfer Belediyespor, Karşıyaka and İller Bankası, and continued her career internationally in North Macedonia (ŽOK Vardar Skopje), Albania, Kosovo and Chinese Taipei. In the 2021–22 season she won the Kosovo Cup with KV Drita Gjilan. Today she leads Kiva’s volleyball programs in Japan, coaching students aged 6–18 through summer camps and after-school training. She coaches in English and Turkish, and also speaks basic Japanese.
